Retta Wilmarth describes her work as listening to “clay speak”—creating unexpected clay forms from her imagination that complement found, repurposed metal and nature’s gifts. Many sculptures accent garden pathways and porches. Every piece is an individual, original, ‘one of a kind’ piece of art.
Retta Wilmarth is a regular exhibitors at the Chico ART Festival, held on the Friday and Saturday of Mother’s Day Weekend on the beautiful grounds of St John’s Episcopal Church on Floral Avenue. Expect to be delighted and surprised with her new creations. You can also see more of her mixed-media ceramics in a previous artist preview HERE.
