Chico ART Festival will be held this year on May 9th and 10th, 2025 on the beautiful grounds of St John’s Episcopal Church at 2341 Floral Avenue in Chico. Interested in exhibiting? The application process is now open on our Artist Portal 2025!
SketchOut Competition – Call to Artists
In addition to browsing at the art, listening to music, and all the other fun activities at the Chico ART Festival, we have a Call to Artists for a SketchOut Competition. The winner of the competition will be chosen by public votes and will be awarded a basket of art supplies including a $50 gift certificate for Ellis Art. Ellis Art and Engineering has generously donated over $75 worth of art supplies.

My work is what gives meaning to my life. I have been learning, developing it for the last 50 years since I left school. There are so many techniques that I explored and introduced to others. My wish now is to teach and seriously share my knowledge with others. Anything from the basics of jewelry fabrication and soldering, or lost wax casting I offer, and techniques like Korean Keum Boo, or Japanese Mokume Gane, to Indonesian granulation techniques I can demonstrate and instruct. These are dying arts and I wish it were not so.
