Lauren Mesa will be showing her work at the 2017 Art at the Matador. She works mostly with clay, but also with acrylics.
Occasionally she makes functional pieces such as these salt and pepper shakers, but keep in mind they are all one of a kind…
She is also very fond of owls. She lightly carved these birds & leaves on heavy slabs of clay – She loves that part. She also loves painting each piece. And while they’re being fired, she crosses her fingers, hoping nothing cracks.
