My name is Nate Lowe and I am a glass artist from Grass Valley, California. After sculpting with clay and ceramics for most of my life I took to sculpting Flameworked Borosilicate Glass in 2021. My work is inspired by the wonder of nature, sci-fi, and fantasy. I enjoy making strange and alien plants and animals. I enjoy working with glass because of the almost infinite possibilities of design, the complexity, and crisp sharp details that can be achieved.

Nate Lowe artwork goes by the name of N8turalist Glass Art and can be found on Instagram under @n8turalist_glass_ where you can watch his creations in motion on videos.

What is borosilicate glass? Borosilicate glass is a silicate glass composed of at least five percent oxide of boron. It is harder than regular glass and can be molded or formed into more complex shapes. It is also more resistant to acid erosion which is why it commonly used in chemistry labs.
