About ChiVAA

The Chico Visual Art Alliance is a non-profit organization based in Chico, California. Our mission is to foster an environment in which artists and the visual arts flourish, in order to enhance the cultural and economic well-being of our larger community.

We are an umbrella art organization dedicated to deliver new opportunities for artists to flourish in our area and to help the public at large discover the rich art environment in the Chico Area.

To further these goals, ChiVAA, the Chico Visual Arts Alliance, publishes The Chico Art Map, Chico Area Artists, a local artist directory with art posts, organizes and sponsors an annual art show, originally named Art Fiesta, then Art at the Matador, and now renamed Chico ART Festival. This festival is held on the beautiful grounds of St John’s Episcopal Church on Floral Avenue in Chico, CA.
