The ART at the Matador on FLORAL is very successful, well known, and well attended one-stop Art Expo. We have moved the event to a new location this year as the Matador Motel was no longer available due to long term effects from the Camp Fire. Our new location is a definite upgrade with gardens, a playground, a labyrinth, and plenty of parking, and the new dates in October. Over 2000 people attended our last event in 2018. The 2019 event was cancelled due to disruptions from the Camp Fire. We are rescheduling our event to a new date in October due to the impact of the coronavirus (Covid-19). If you already applied, we can apply your application and payments to the October dates.
Our goal, this year, is to celebrate our area resilience and to continue to attract both Chicoans and out-of-town visitors to this premier art event. Participating artists will have their own ‘living galleries’ for a weekend in which to meet the public, market their wares, and be inspired by each other.

3. Send the signed application form + 4 images of your work + 1 of your booth + photo descriptions + artist statement to artatthematador@ChiVAA.org

Once fully completed, your application will be reviewed, with its accompanying images and descriptions, to ensure that your art meets exhibition-quality standards. Remember, first come, first served.

INDOOR BOOTH SPACE RESERVATIONS
$160 for ChiVAA members or $200 for non-members for 2 days
Indoor booth spaces are limited. Payments must be made online and registration documents must be sent by email. Indoor space reservations will not be accepted by mail or in person.
We will send you an email confirming your indoor booth space reservation. If the limited number of indoor booth space are sold out, you will be notified. A wait list for indoor booth space will be created. Your payment will be refunded or applied towards an outdoor space.

ChiVAA’s aim in organizing and sponsoring the Art at the Matador on Floral is to educate the public in the quality and variety of creativity of the Chico Visual Arts and Performing Arts Communities. ChiVAA also want to promote collecting original art with the goal of every home having at least one original art piece by a local artist. The Art at the Matador on Floral is a great way to connect with many of the artists in the area.
